FinSnap Terms of Service

Terms of use for the personal finance tracking mobile application. Please read these terms carefully before using the application.

1. Introduction

This Terms of Service Agreement ("Agreement") governs the relationship between you ("User", "You") and the developer of the FinSnap application ("Developer", "we", "us", "our") regarding the use of the FinSnap mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "Application").

By using the Application, you fully accept and agree to comply with all terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree with any terms, please do not use the Application. Use of the Application constitutes your full and unconditional agreement to the terms of this Agreement.

2. Service Description

FinSnap is a mobile application for personal finance tracking that allows users to track income and expenses, manage accounts, transaction categories, analyze financial data, and view statistics.

Free Version

In the free version of the Application, users can use the following features:

  • Manual entry of income and expenses
  • Support for 50+ interface languages
  • Current exchange rates and currency conversion
  • Offline mode — all data is stored in a local database on the device
  • View transaction history and statistics
  • Import transaction reports (for registered users)

Pro Version (Subscription)

The Pro version includes all features of the free version, plus additional capabilities:

  • Receipt scanning using the camera or uploading from gallery
  • Adding transactions using voice input
  • Parsing bank statements in PDF and CSV formats

3. User Accounts

The Application can be used either anonymously or with a registered account. When used anonymously, functionality is limited:

  • Data is stored only in the local database on the device
  • Data synchronization with the server is not available

When registering an account, the user gains access to data synchronization between devices and data backup on the server.

IMPORTANT: The user is fully responsible for the security of their account, including password security and protection against unauthorized access by third parties. The Developer is not responsible for any consequences related to unauthorized access to the user's account.

4. Data and Privacy

Data Collection

When using the Application, we collect the following data to ensure the service operates:

Transaction Data

For registered users, the following data is sent to the server for synchronization:

  • Transaction data (amounts, dates, categories, descriptions)
  • User-created expense and income categories
  • User account information

Analytics Data

To improve the Application, we collect analytics data:

  • Error data through the Sentry service
  • User experience data through the Segment service

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscription Types

The Pro version is available through the following subscription types:

  • Monthly subscription — $2.99 per month
  • Annual subscription — $29.99 per year

A lifetime subscription is also available for $60, which provides permanent access to all Pro features without the need for renewal.

Payment Platforms

All payments are processed exclusively through official platforms: App Store (for iOS) and Google Play (for Android). The Developer does not process payments directly and does not have access to user bank card data or payment credentials.

Refund Terms

Refunds are possible in the following cases:

• Within 14 days of the subscription purchase date, if the service was not provided due to the Developer's fault

  • In case of technical failures preventing the use of paid features
  • If subscription activation is impossible due to technical reasons
  • In other cases provided for by the refund policy of App Store or Google Play

Refunds are processed through the purchase platform (App Store or Google Play) in accordance with their refund policy. The Developer is not responsible for platform decisions regarding refunds.

6. Limitation of Liability

THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

No Financial Advice

The Developer does not provide financial advice, recommendations, or consultations. The Application is a tool for tracking and analyzing personal finances, but not a source of financial recommendations:

  • All financial decisions are made by the user independently and at their own risk
  • The Developer is not responsible for financial losses or damages arising from the use of the Application
  • The user is fully responsible for all financial decisions made based on Application data
  • The Developer does not guarantee the accuracy of financial calculations or forecasts

Data Accuracy and AI Features

The Application uses artificial intelligence technologies (OpenAI API) for receipt recognition, voice input, and bank statement parsing:

  • The Developer does not guarantee 100% accuracy of receipt recognition, voice input, or statement parsing
  • All data processed through OpenAI API is sent anonymously, without transmitting user personal information
  • The use of OpenAI API is governed by OpenAI"s privacy policy, which the user can review separately
  • The Developer is not responsible for recognition or data processing errors by third-party services

RECOMMENDED: The user should independently verify all data obtained through AI features before using it.

Technical Limitations

The Developer is not responsible for:

  • Technical failures, errors, or unavailability of the Application
  • Data loss due to technical issues or user actions
  • Any consequences arising from the use of outdated versions of the Application or incompatibility with user devices

General Limitations

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use the Application.

7. User Responsibilities

The user agrees to use the Application in accordance with its intended purpose and applicable law:

  • The user is fully responsible for the security of their account and protection against unauthorized access by third parties
  • The user agrees not to use the Application for illegal purposes or in violation of third-party rights
  • The user is responsible for the accuracy of entered data and its compliance with reality
  • The user agrees not to attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or otherwise interfere with the Application
  • The user is responsible for all actions performed using their account

Violation of these obligations may result in termination of access to the Application without refund.

8. Intellectual Property

All rights to the Application, including but not limited to source code, design, logos, texts, and other materials, belong to the Developer and are protected by intellectual property laws:

  • The user does not have the right to copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Application
  • The user does not have the right to use the Application for commercial purposes without written permission from the Developer
  • All trademarks, logos, and names used in the Application are the property of their owners
  • User data (transactions, categories, etc.) remains the property of the user
  • The Developer does not claim ownership rights to user data

Any unauthorized use of Application materials constitutes a violation of this Agreement and may result in legal liability.

9. Changes to Terms

The Developer reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time. Changes take effect upon publication:

  • Users will be notified of changes through the Application
  • Continued use of the Application after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the new terms
  • If the user does not agree with the changes, they must stop using the Application

It is recommended to periodically check the current version of the Agreement on the website or in the Application.

10. Termination of Use

Data Deletion by User

The user can delete their data at any time:

  • Through Application settings by selecting the "Delete All Data" option
  • With a checkbox to delete data from the server (for registered users)
  • By sending a data deletion request to: support@finsnap.app

Termination of Access by Developer

The Developer reserves the right to terminate or suspend user access to the Application in case of:

  • Violation of the terms of this Agreement
  • Use of the Application for illegal purposes
  • Technical issues or maintenance needs

Upon termination of access, all user data will be deleted from servers in accordance with the user's request or after the data retention period expires.

11. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution

This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with general principles of international law, taking into account that the Application is intended for use worldwide.

Any disputes arising in connection with this Agreement or the use of the Application shall be resolved through negotiations. If an agreement cannot be reached, disputes may be submitted to a competent court at the Developer's location or in accordance with the rules of the platform through which the Application was purchased (App Store or Google Play).
